Who Created the Federal Education Policy History Website?

Kevin R. Kosar.  I am a researcher and writer in Washington, DC, and the author of Failing Grades: The Federal Politics of Education (Lynne Rienner Publishers, 2005) and the editor of  Bridging the Gap: Higher Education and Career-Centered Welfare Reform (National Urban League/Metropolitan College of New York, 2003).  My writings have appeared in Presidential Studies QuarterlyPublic Administration Review, and Teachers College Record… For further details, see http://kevinrkosar.com/.

Why?

I created this web page to help folks learn more about the history of federal government’s role in elementary and secondary education.  Here you will find copies of the major federal laws, landmark court cases, and helpful research materials on the federal role in education.   You also will find the best books on the federal role in schooling.  This website is a nonpartisan educational resource.
